Having remained relatively untouched for nearly forty years, the owners of Cranford appointed Paul Cahillane Studio Ltd in 2021 to undertake architectural services in relation to a full modernization of the house.#

As part of the appointment, we worked with the client to establish a brief and worked closely with them to establish the extent of the extension and internal alterations. The house benefits from an abundance of character and charm, and PCS were careful to retain these qualities in their proposals.

A single storey side extension is proposed in keeping with the design language of the existing house to create a new internal open plan layout. In addition, a full renovation is being carried out internally to bring the house up to modern living standards.

The proposal received planning permission in 2022 and is due to start on site in May 2023.
